PARKERSBURG, WV – United Bank recently named Katlyn Holsinger as the new branch manager of its Parkersburg Main location. As branch manager, Holsinger is responsible for identifying qualified prospects for new business relationships and strengthening relationships with existing customers, managing and coaching branch sales staff, serving as the in-branch point of contact for regional sales managers and human resources, and delivering quality customer care to all branch customers.
“When it comes to providing best-in-class service to our community here in Parkersburg, Katlyn was the obvious choice for the job,” said Greg Harbert, Regional Retail Sales Manager, United Bank. “She has done a terrific job of managing our branch in Vienna and has proven herself to be a valuable asset for the Bank. We expect she will continue to do great things leading the team here in Parkersburg as well.”
Holsinger began her career at United three years ago as a customer care representative in Parkersburg. From there, she moved to the retail side of business, serving as a sales associate responsible for handling deposits and withdrawals, processing payments, and talking to customers about products. She was then promoted to a universal banker position where she expanded her banking knowledge, learning to open accounts and perform account maintenance, before her most recent promotion to branch manager in Vienna. In September, when the branch manager position opened at United’s Parkersburg Main location, Holsinger was tapped for the job.
“It’s fitting that United first started as a single-office bank here in Parkersburg, and I first started my career here with United Bank. To me, it really feels like a homecoming,” said Holsinger. “I am beyond excited for this new opportunity, and I look forward to learning and growing alongside the team as we serve our wonderful customers at Parkersburg Main.”
A Mid-Ohio Valley native, Holsinger grew up in Meigs County, Ohio and graduated from WVU Parkersburg with a bachelor’s in business administration focused on management and marketing. In May 2024, she attended the West Virgina School of Banking at the University of Charleston. Holsinger is also active in her community. She regularly volunteers with various local organizations including downtown clean-up days with Downtown PKB, the After School Program at Jefferson Elementary, the Sleep Out event for Children's Home Society, and the annual Kids Golf Classic hosted by United Bank, which supports the Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg. She is also on the board of Wood County Society.
