HUNTINGTON, WV – United Bank recently promoted Emily Bartram to market president of its Huntington Market. As market president, Bartram will lead strategic efforts to drive commercial and retail production, while ensuring the profitability and sustained growth of the market. Bartram will also play a pivotal leadership role in managing public relations efforts in Huntington, while also representing United Bank in the community through active participation in civic affairs and professional organizations.

“I am fortunate to have called Huntington my home for most of my life. I grew up in this community and am intimately familiar with its unique needs and the ways to best serve our customers here,” said Bartram. “Our customers and employees are at the heart of what we do. I am excited to bring my years of banking experience into my new role as market president and to continue working to make United Bank the best place to bank.”

Comprised of four United Bank locations, the Huntington Market covers the Cabell, Wayne, and Putnam counties of West Virginia. As market president, Bartram will continue to work from United’s Ninth Street location. Former Huntington Market president, Andrew Dawson, has been tapped to lead United Bank’s Wilmington, N.C. Market.

Bartram has 17 years of experience in the banking industry, all with United Bank. She was recruited as a college graduate and was quickly promoted from senior teller to branch manager to regional sales manager. She later joined the Company’s credit training program and was chosen for United’s coveted four-year-long Leadership Development Program, which allowed her to support many projects across the Bank, including sales and service initiatives. In 2012, she was promoted to mortgage loan officer, the role she held before becoming market president.

“It is rare to find a banking professional as well-rounded and experienced in the different lines of business as Emily. She started her career with United, and since then has taken advantage of every opportunity to expand her industry knowledge and contribute to the continued success of the Bank,” said D.F. Mock, United Bank Regional President. “Her unique career journey, diverse banking expertise, and commitment to the local community has shown her to be the ideal candidate to lead the market.”

A lifelong West Virginia resident and Huntington native, Bartram looks forward to continuing to serve her local community. She is active in local organizations, previously serving on the board of Branches Domestic Violence Shelter and currently holding a seat in the Huntington chapter of Pinnacle BNI. She is eager to take on more community involvement opportunities as market president. Bartram studied marketing and management at Marshall University. She lives in Huntington with her husband, Zach Baldwin, and their three children.
